The Amport Trail Run is Back!

The Muddy Runners are delighted to be hosting the Amport Trail Run in 2024 on behalf of the Amport Cricket Club.

​

We run races over 2 distances:-

5km - Trail Race

10km - Trail Race

​

Both courses are multi terrain, taking in the stunning Hampshire countryside.

SUNDAY 29th SEPTEMBER 2024 - 10.00AM START,

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 9.00 AM AND CLOSES AT 9.45 AM

AMPORT CRICKET CLUB, MONXTON ROAD, AMPORT, NR ANDOVER SP11 8BA

 

Entry:

  • Online Entry ONLY -  Click Here  THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY

  • Entry fees = £15 for the 10k race, £10 for the 5k race.

    • £2 Discount for 10k and 5k available to runners affiliated to the UKA or runners who are members of the Association of Running Clubs via their own running club (This includes Muddy Runners)

  • Payment can be made online by paypal or credit/debit card.

  • Participants must be 12 years and older for the 10k race.

  • Participants must be 7 years and older for the 5k race.  All entrants under the age of 11 yrs, whether in the 3k or 5k event, MUST be accompanied by an adult on the route at all times.

Parking:

  • All vehicles should park in the cricket club parking area as directed by marshals.  Click here for a map showing the location.

  • Follow the car park signs/marshals once inside the ground and please do not drive on the cricket pitch.

 

Timings:

  • Registration opens at 9.00 am and will close promptly at 9.45am.  Upon arrival, please make your way to the registration tent to collect your race number.

  • Any changes to race distance must be made before 9.30am

  • Please note there is no bag drop so please return any belongings to your car.

  • All the races will start at 10.00 am. Please would ‘runners’ make their way to the front of the group, ‘joggers’ stay in the middle of the pack and ‘walkers’ start near the back.

  • We will be setting off the dog runners first, followed by the 10k then 5k runners.

 

Route:

  • The 5k and 10k routes are multi-terrain loops incorporating local footpaths, tracks, fields and road sections.  There are a few stiles and kissing gates along the way.  Please follow all instructions given by the marshals, especially on the road sections.  The marshals are there to ensure your safety - if they ask to you to stop due to oncoming traffic please do so.  The marshals will not be stopping traffic - only runners.

  • Please close any unmanned gates behind the last runner as you pass through.

  • IN-EAR HEADPHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY ROUTE. For your safety you need to be able to hear traffic and the instructions of our marshals.  Bone conductor heaadphones are permitted but we do ask that you give our marshals your complete attention at all times.

  • WARNING: These are multi-terrain cross-country routes and as such, the terrain is uneven, muddy in places and in the event of bad weather, some areas may be slippery.  All entrants should wear appropriate footwear with laces securely tied and take care at all times, following warning signs and markers and following any instructions given by marshals.

 

Facilities:

  •  Toilets will be available in the cricket pavilion.

  •  First aid is available at the finish line and also out on the course.

  • There is a water station at the halfway point on the 10k route.

  • Water and refreshments will also be available at the finish line.

  • Refreshments will be available inluding a bar, BBQ, hot and cold drinks and home-made cakes.

 

Prizes:

  • Prizes for category winners.

  • Medals for all finishers.
