Amport PTA Trail Runs


The Muddy Runners are pleased to host our Amport Trail Runs on behalf of the Amport Parent Teachers Association, the Amport PTA raise funds for Amport CoE Primary School.

We run races over 3 distances:-

3km - Childrens fun run accompanied by parent/guardian

5km - Trail Race

10km - Trail Race

All three courses are multi terrain with Muddy Runners member volunteers taking up duties marshalling the courses, registration and timing

SATURDAY 23rd MARCH 2019 - 2.00pm START,





  • Online Entries will be open now -  Click Here

  • Entry in advance = £12 for the 10k race, £8 for the 5k race, £3 for the 3k race.

    • £2 Discount for 10k and 5k available to runners affiliated to the UKA or runners who are members of the Association of Running Clubs via their own running club (This includes Muddy Runners)

  • Entry on the day = £15 for the 10k race, £10 for the 5k race, £5 for the 3k race.

  • Payment can be made online by paypal or credit/debit card.

  • Participants must be 12 years and older for the 10k race.

  • Participants must be 7 years and older for the 5k race.  All entrants under the age of 11 yrs, whether in the 3k or 5k event, MUST be accompanied by an adult on the route at all times.

  • Due to insurance restrictions we cannot accept entries to run with dogs.



  • All vehicles should park in the cricket club parking area as directed by marshals.  Click here for a map showing the location.

  • Follow the car park signs/marshals once inside the ground and please do not drive on the cricket pitch.



  • Registration opens at 1.00 pm and will close promptly at 1.45pm.  Upon arrival, please make your way to the registration tent to collect your race number.

  • Please note there is no bag drop so please return any belongings to your car.

  • All the races will start at 2.00 pm. Please would ‘runners’ make their way to the front of the group, ‘joggers’ stay in the middle of the pack and ‘walkers’ start near the back.

  • We will be setting of the 10k runners first.



  • The three routes are multi-terrain loops incorporating local footpaths, tracks, fields and road sections.  There are a few stiles and kissing gates along the way.  Please follow all instructions given by the marshals, especially on the road sections.  The marshals are there to ensure your safety - if they ask to you to stop due to oncoming traffic please do so.  The marshals will not be stopping traffic - only runners.

  • Marshals will be present at each and every gate on route.  If however a marshal is called away to deal with an incident, please close any unmanned gate behind the last runner as you pass through.

  • HEADPHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY ROUTE. For your safety you need to be able to hear the instructions of our marshals.

  • WARNING: These are multi-terrain cross-country routes and as such, the terrain is uneven, muddy in places and in the event of bad weather, some areas may be slippery.  All entrants should wear appropriate footwear with laces securely tied and take care at all times, following warning signs and markers and following any instructions given by marshals.



  •  Toilets will be available in the cricket pavilion.

  •  First aid is available at the finish line and also out on the course.

  • There is a water station at the halfway point on the 10k route.

  • Water and refreshments will also be available at the finish line.

  • Tea, coffee, squash and home-made cakes will be available to buy in the pavilion post-race, with all money going to the Amport Primary School PTA.



  • Prizes for category winners.

  • Medals for all finishers.



  • Results will be emailed to competitors within 48 hours.
