Newly Qualified Canicross Run Leaders

We are excited to announce that we have two newly qualified canicross run leaders!

Gemma with her doggie Luna, and Laura with Fergus and Chester, have been members of our running club for several years and have always been keen runners. They have been studying, completing coursework, and working through practical assessments to pass their iPet Network Level 3 Award.

We are delighted to have these two experienced and enthusiastic runners who are the first canicross run leaders within the club. They are both passionate about canicross and are committed to providing our members with a safe and enjoyable experience.

All members are welcome to attend their runs, whether you are a beginner looking to start running with your dog or an experienced canicrosser they will be on hand to support your running journey.

About Canicross

Canicross is a sport that combines running and dog walking. It is a great way to get fit and have fun with your dog. Canicross is a relatively new sport, but it has been growing in popularity in recent years. Canicross can be done on a variety of surfaces, including trails, roads, and beaches.

To participate in canicross, you will need a harness for both you and your dog which allows freedom of movement of the shoulder and a bungee lead which is attached to the runners waist belt.

If you are interested in trying canicross, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure that your dog is in good physical condition. Second, start slowly and gradually increase the distance and intensity of your runs. For more information and beginners instructions head to CaniCross | trailrunners. And third, be sure to have fun!

We hope to see you on our next canicross run!
