Pandemic Update

In these challeneging times, we are aware that more than ever people are seeking an entry to running to benefit both their physical and mental health. For many years our 10 week courses have provided a supportive and social environment for new runners to enter our sport. Our race events have raised many thousands of pounds for schools across the region and our Run Leaders have supported group runs for mental health with events like RunAndTalk & RunAndRevise.

It's with great sadness to all our Coaches, Leaders and Volunteers, that we are today announcing how the ongoing pandemic is impacting our future planning and the tough decisions we have taken.

10 Week Course

The nature of these courses and the popularity of them, mean we are unable to hold them within the government guidelines that are currently in place.

We have taken the decision to cancel all plans for new courses for 6 months, during which time we will continue to monitor the situation and government advice. Keeping our runners safe as possible is always our first priority.

Trail Run Events

When organising our public Trail Races we incur costs in the planning of the race events, the variable and unknown future of the pandemic and government restrictions mean we are unable to plan for the events without a great financial risk to the club and our charitable partners.

We have taken the decision to cancel all plans for races in 2021.

Club Membership Club membership remains open & during the latest lockdown period, our leaders are working on some fun running games for members to interact with each other through your solo running.

Pod Runs

In the last hour it has been confirmed by England athletics that we will be unable to run in any groups at all, therefore ALL PODS ARE CANCELLED and there will be no further pods until the restrictions are further lifted.

Whilst this is sad news, we recognise that running and exercise is vital to our physical and mental health, so the Run Leader Team will be posting information over the coming days as to how we can get out, stay active and remotely support each other through this difficult time. challenging

Stay tuned, and if you need support please do reach out - we will get through this together.

Keep yourselves safe, fit and running, we will be back to a trail route near you as soon as possible.

Muddy Runners.
